Nestled in the picturesque town of Julian, California, just an hour's drive from San Diego, Orchard Hill stands as a beacon of tranquility and charm. Spearheaded by Brett Combs, Orchard Hill isn't merely a destination; it's an immersive experience aimed at redefining the essence of Julian living.
With the Orchard Hill Squarespace website, this vision is brought to life through a harmonious blend of captivating design and custom coding. Each element of the website, from seamless navigation to immersive visuals, reflects Brett's commitment to enhancing the visitor experience.
Bubbles & Tea Coffeehouse
The website was part of a broader branding effort, aiming to establish a unique identity that would appeal to diverse audiences and stand out among competitors. Alongside the aesthetic, fostering a sense of community was crucial. We achieved this by forging strong relationships with local businesses and organizations and by creating a Squarespace website. This platform enables them to share collaborative events with other local businesses, facilitating mutual growth. Furthermore, the site is seamlessly linked to their social media accounts for swift content sharing.
Studio of Architecture
Working with the founders, Diana Pollard and Michael King, was a pleasure. The old website lacked responsiveness, SEO, and easy updates, failing to align with SoA's new objectives and target clients. The new website effectively showcases their extensive experience and a diverse portfolio, giving prospective clients insight into the studio's approach and expertise.
Livingstone Law
Working with Livingstone Law, APC on their logo, identity system, and Squarespace website redesign was a very gratifying experience. For their minimalistic mark I opted for two equal semi-circles to symbolize fairness and equality under the law, traditionally depicted by two evenly balanced scales. The website's redesign focused on enabling organic growth for the firm, moving beyond reliance solely on paid advertising.
Our Radicondoli
The pandemic has been devastating to this small community, forcing them into further isolation. Ron Miriello’s vision for this website was to celebrate his friends in Radicondoli and the many artisans and businesses that have been hit the hardest during this time.
Katherine Brannock
Katherine is a versatile international artist, designer, illustrator, tattooer, storyteller, and entrepreneur with a diverse set of talents. To streamline her digital presence and engage a broader audience, we decided to centralize all her work on a single website. The new website serves as both a comprehensive portfolio and an insight into her creative process and the narratives behind it. Additionally, visitors can explore and purchase her exquisite merchandise directly through the site.

As a self-proclaimed plant whisperer, it doesn’t get better than collaborating with two of the best landscape architects in the business - Laura Burnett and Marty Poirier. Together they have contributed to the beautification of so many iconic locations across the United States. Their new firm, Attention 2 Landscape Architecture, was formed last year with a focus on enriching people’s lives and sustaining our planet. I was honored to work with them on this website to showcase their incredible body of work.
Don Bartletti Photography
I was extremely honored to work with Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist Don Bartletti, creating an online portfolio for his collection of photographs. The photographs span over the last 40+ years and focus on immigration and the US/Mexico border. Bartletti carefully crafted captions for his photos, giving each image a powerful story. I urge you to spend time on the site, see some of the images and read some of the stories for a truly thought provoking experience.
Pappalecco
This website plays a pivotal role in the overall brand identity package, functioning as a central hub for eCommerce operations, allowing customers to conveniently order coffee and food from two different locations. A standout feature is the membership area, which incorporates custom illustrations and informative slides. Employees can access this section for specialized training, fostering enhanced efficiency and reducing the need for constant supervision. This multifaceted approach not only bolsters the brand's online presence but also contributes to a more streamlined and efficient business operation.
Allard Jansen Architecture
It's always a great pleasure to work with other creatives, regardless of their discipline. Working with architect Allard Jansen was no exception. To organize and display his residential and commercial projects in a simple and effective way, we collaborated on his portfolio site and brand identity. It was a fun and successful project, especially because we both appreciate simplicity and minimalism.
Dr. Pedro Olvera
Dr. Olvera, an independent educational psychologist, needed a new website that looked professional and outlined his various services, so that school administrators could easily become familiar with his capabilities. In addition, he wanted his website to be in English and Spanish to better serve his bilingual client base. We used a photography collection with various shapes that symbolize students’ unique challenges and growth. Dr. Olvera's website stands-out among his competitors and inspires confidence.
Miriello Grafico
One of the things I enjoy most is working with my friend and mentor Ron Miriello. We redesigned his website to do more than display his client work, it also offers a window into the personal and public projects Ron is involved with. The website highlights Information & News by bringing his social feed on to the site. It’s an ideal platform for Ron’s many personal interests and travel journals. Bringing all of his creativity into one simple and meaningful site was both fun and rewarding.
Chris Burgin Design
This is the third website we have had the pleasure of creating for interior designer Chris Burgin. Chris has made a name for himself in the design community with a focus on hospitality, retail and healthcare. I have worked with Chris for over 15 years and am proud of our collaboration on this recent project. From Flash, to Wordpress to SquareSpace - we have come a long way!
Diane Dammeyer Photography
Diane is a philanthropic photographer who brings awareness to the struggle for human equality through her photography. She collaborates with many non-profit organizations to tell their story. The website serves as a place for her to share her photography, collaborations with independent artists and her philanthropic contributions. The minimalist design of the site lets her profound images shine, many of them focused on children and education.
The Landscape Company
The landscape company covers the entire breadth of landscaping, from design to implementation. FSG built a site that functions as a brochure for their projects as well as a blog to learn more about landscaping. It also integrates with external software for estimating, distributing information and tracking visitors. This site was commissioned by Marc Hedges Creative.
Vitality Fusion
The vibrant Susan Shane has turned her career as a dancer, acupuncturist and personal trainer into a single approach she has coined "Vitality Fusion." She brings this approach to life through positive thinking, physical exAircises and holistic healing. Her expertise and services were fragmented into 3 separate websites making them difficult to maintain. We created a new site that serves as a single hub. The website showcases her published work, video collection, customer testimonials and a seamless application for scheduling consultations.
Vinatech Engineering
Vinatech Engineering started with the simple goal of providing precision parts at competitive rates and a fast turnaround. After 40-years of experience serving leading companies in defense, biotech, computer and electronics industries, it was ready for a full rebrand and our creative partner HG Think hired us for an on site photo shoot and a brochure website to display the facility, its services and products. This website was built as a long scrolling page featuring the parallax effect on the larger hero shots
Datron World Communications
Datron World Communications is a global leader in tactical military communication equipment. They were in need of a new site that could showcase all 30+ of their multi-category products. FSG created slide galleries on the home page to easily lead users to the appropriate category in just one click. SquareSpace provided the ideal template solution for Datron, while allowing for custom programming for mobile. The website serves as a sales tool, providing in-depth information about their diverse product line.
